CECT Iphone Clone
The CEC Telecom Co., Ltd is engaged in the production of different models of mobiles based on the iPhone technology, the CECt mobile phones are designed in such a way that they can be effectively called the clone of the iPhones, as per the features possessed by them. The latest release by the company in January of 2008 is the CECT A380i and it is the latest clone of the iPhone and it is the further improvement upon iPhone technology. Although this phone looks like and performs every bit as impressively as the iPhone, it actually improves upon areas where the iPhone was lagging behind.
The CECT A380i carries an additional sim slot, making it a dual sim phone like the P168. Two sim slots present in the phone gives you the ability to have two cell phone numbers without ever having to switch off the phone. It also beats iPhone by adding a removable battery, additional speakers and a slide unlock feature that allows you to immediately unlock the phone and use whatever carrier you wish. It is a great drawback with the iPhone is that it forces you to use AT&T’s service that is quite expensive and in the most cases it distracts the user to do so.
Beside that the CECT A380 has an expandable memory via micro SD cards. The iPhone does not have this memory capability it doesn’t have the removable battery facility too. Possibly the most innovative of the improvements over the iPhone is the clone’s accelerometer and the shake technology, which means, if you want to change the songs, wallpapers, or photos, then you have to just shake your phone to advance the media. You do not need to look down or spend a lot of time scrolling through the menu.
Like the popular iPhone CECT A380i has everything such as the 3.0 inch high resolution touch screen, a built in digital camera, Bluetooth, a built in video camera, and MP3 / MP4 players. The clone does not require software and this phone is capable of automatically reading any sim card. The most attractive feature of this phone is the cost. The cost of this phone starts at about $150. With the passage of time, these prices may fall, but the phone is already pretty reasonably priced for the latest, new and improved, high performing technology in the current market. This clone is a wonderful option for someone who wants to try these features in a single smart phone / pda / media player without having to pay full price for that.

I bought a dud p168s on ebay and contacted the seller, He refused refund or replacement, contacted CECT and they wont even reply to my emails. The phone wont even turn on, both batteries hold charge but the phone is dead.

It’s not the phone, it’s probably the user. And no CECT is not a joke company. I got the CECT Vision Mobile B695 and it works great.
I consider buying another CECT phone. Which one, I have no idea yet.

I bought my CECT phone from China on ebay 19months ago. It arrived fine and faultess like 000’s of other items I’ve bought on EBAY.
On arrival it didn’t have and English Instructions but a few emails sorted that out. I’d certainly buy another CECT phone. Do any shops in Britain even stock them? Minor gripes on the CECT are the charger connects which I think are abit ropey. Internal speaker can be poor but hey…..hoe many phones can you fit it the key pocket of a pair of Jeans!……..CECT & Ebay fan.

Man i bought a Cect phone, A380i…and they are a joke. The extra battery i received with it doesnt hold a charge. I have to wrap a rubberband around the charger to the phone to get the phone to charge. This phone proves that clones are garbage, especially phones that have bad consumer reports. These phones are put together poorly, very cheaply manufactured CLONE. Very unimpressed.
I just brought a Cect clone iPhone and it wont hold charge and the USB cable wont work.
Even the charger keeps buzzing, and the light is only green and keeps turning off and I literally have to hold it to charge.
Please can anyone give me some information on how else I can get this phone to charge, is there an alternative cable i can buy?????

I applaud any company for innovations. The CECT phone (aka - iPhone clone) is, by most standards, a decent phone. For the price, you get a lot of features.
What it is NOT… is an iPhone Clone. Sure, the case appears to look like the iPhone but it is not constructed of the same materials. It is made of an inexpensive and more brittle plastic. The touch screen is a less expensive pressure-sensitive lamination, and not the high resolution crystal glass screen with capacitive touch interface that an Apple iPhone is. Ironically, it will not interface with a MAC computer, but it will interface with most PC computers.
The phone is intended to meet a low-cost, fast-market price structure. What you can expect is a Linux based, open-sourced software package that is somewhat clunky but is functional. There is no way to add - or even use any externally written applications… a defining trade mark of the Apple branded iPhone.
The CECT phone is not even a true PDA. It is basically a standard cell phone with a music player, video player, generic browser and picture viewer… all rolled up into a touch-screen device. Sans the touchscreen, the CECT phone will do nothing more that a Motorola RAZR.
On the plus side; you get 2 batteries (and they are removable), a USB cable, Charger, a rubber skin-type case, and headphones. I would highly advise getting a screen protector… the screen on the CECT is clear plastic, not glass or crystal like the real iPhone is. This plastic screen scratches incredibly easily.
As for phone performance, I must admit the call-quality is impressive. Both parties on a call have stated the sound quality is very good. The internal speaker is loud and clear. The screen is bright although a lower resolution than most PDA-style phones. The video player is stated to run mp4 compressed videos, however our testing could not get the product to play mp4 files in any configuration. This was easily fix by converting videos to the 3gp format with some small amount of compromise in video quality.
The photo album worked flawlessly and was easy to navigate, however it does limit you to a 256K size on each photo. The removable 2GB SD memory card is a very flexible and welcomed touch. Apple developers could learn from the market trend where individuals what removable batteries and memory cards, a limitation still plaguing even the latest Apple iPhones.
Overall, If you want a cell phone with all of the features of a Motorola RAZR plus a touch screen… in a package that reminds one of an iPhone-like appearance, then the CECT is a decent buy and is commonly available for just over $100.
If you want a phone, with all of the quality, sophistication, performance and productivity of an Apple iPhone… then you would be well advised to spend the extra $75 and buying a real Apple iPhone.
I bought the cect i9. Great phone and does everything it says it can. Worked fine and i dont think its a cheap manufactured piece of garbage. I did however break the screen by accident when it was a few weeks old. You cannot get replacement screens! Pulled it apart and the actual touch screen is soldered directly to the board so it was never designed to be repaired. Stupid design flaw so for my next phone im going to spend the money on genuine apple iPhone. At least i know i can get parts for it.
I have a CECT 888 phone and I like its overall quality. But recently after I dropped it, the phone connection isn’t working properly and neither party can hear each other clearly. All its other functions like audio/video playback, etc. work fine. Can someone help me out? I’m from Mumbai, India. Is there any service center for this phone here?

My phone is 8 days old and was completely operative. When I attempted to change the battery to the charged replacement and the phone has been dead ever since. I attempted to charge through my PC and the charging icon appears but phone won’t come on. If there is something you can share so I won’t have to return it please share!

I would seriously suggest that you do NOT buy one of these phones.
They are badly made.
I state this as som eone who has been asked to repair them but unlike others they suffer from poor product development, poor quality which means they break easily.
If these phones were upto US quality standards then they would be marketed by a reputable company.
No one, with their present development state and quality, will take them on with a return rate of over 20%
HELLO… i just got a cect mini. its great! i just need some help. when i try to connect to the internet it says gprs not subscribed. what can i do? i tried calling at&t but they wont help.

Ive owned a CECT p168+ for about a year and a half now and it still works great. Some of the plastic is breaking off from the center button but the phone itself has nothing wrong with it at all. I just saw the CECT i9 has java and allows apps to be installed so I think i’ll upgrade soon. I bought mine for about $125 on ebay and the i9s ive seen for as little as $90 which is tempting.

These CECT mobiles look cool and stylish. one good feature that they comes with all good facilities in low cost…
Only Problem with CECT mobile is that, if they get non-opreative then there is no option to get repaired them.
In india, most of the mobile shop are selling such cheap cell phone, but they did not provide the service facility.

I have the following issue using a CECT S689 iphone clone:
I added some appointments to the calendar but now it seems there’s no way to delete em. I can’t find the DELETE menu. Clicking on the appointment and then on Options the only menus are: view tasks, add task, jump to date, go to weekly view and print.
Any help will be welcome!

Recently purchased KA08 MINI for my wife. she loves it but having trouble with speed dial. she put in the numbers but no one can figure out how to make them work. tried holding down the number, using star or pound before the number but nothing works. is this a glitch with the phone? Or is there some secret code we need to know t make the speed dial work? any help, any suggestions?

i would like to reply to narendra chitkara that to get rid of d bluetooth problem, go to phone memory ,there are various files…….one of them is bluetooth, go and restore that file /or delete it.

I bought a Cect A580 (iphone clone) the tilt and shake feature didn’t work at all, I couldn’t get movies to work with the Mp4 player, and it made a horrible buzzing sound during calls not only at my end but at the end I was calling I had this phone out of it’s box for 2 or 3 hours then I repacked it and sent it back to China, I would of put up with most things but that buzzing sound during call did my head in. Well now I’m waiting on a replacement to come from China, Last chance Cect I cant afford to keep sending phones back at $24.70AUD a pop

I´ve bought a Miphone M88. A few days ago I did a hard reset, before this I´ve pull out the 8G memory card. I copied the files in the card to my pc and I formated the card. After the phone restarted I´ve copied the files to the card and put it on the phone, but the phone didn´t recoginezed the card. Why it happenede? Is there any kind of special formation, any exe file……..please help-me.

i have a real problem.i have the cectm31. it works really great except for the texting. i can recive texts and can send texts only if i have couple names in the phone. the real problem is that if i try text tom it sends the text to bill…. if i try text ohter people as well it sends it to diffrent people. like i said if i text say tom it will sind it to jerry.. this is the second phone. i’ve traded this phone twice and have had the same thing happen.can someone help me pleeeeaaasssee
